  • ​University Qualified allied health professional who specialise in delivery of exercise and lifestyle programs for both health individuals and those with chronic medical conditions, injuries and disabilities

  • Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) use "Exercise as Medicine"

  • Most qualified health professionals in Australia when it comes to exercise 

What makes an AEP different to other exercise professionals? 
  • University qualified 

  • They undertake strict requirements with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA)

  • They are eligible to register for Medicare, DVA and Work Cover 

  • Are trained to use exercise for a wide range of conditions, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, respiratory and mental health 

What is your new patient procedure?

  • Get in touch with us via booking online or contacting our phone or email or social media 

  • An initial assessment involves a thorough assessment, taking your full medical history, identifying your goals followed by an assessment of your current capacity, looking at your mobility, strength and movement 

  • All exercises prescribed are individualised and based off what we find in our assessments and client goals 

Is Exercise Physiology covered under private health insurers? 

  • Yes, most private health insurers will include Exercise Physiology

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

  • No. You are able to see an Exercise Physiologist privately 

  • If you have a Chronic disease, you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management plan from your doctor which includes 5 medicare subsidised sessions with your choice of allied health professional

  • If you have Type 2 Diabetes you are eligible for a Type 2 Diabetes referral for medicare subsidised initial assessment and 8 x group sessions
